By Fast Boat
One of the most trustworthy companies specifically cater to the needs of the tourism industry out there is Superdong, which supplies high-quality fast boat services from Ha Tien or Rach Gia to Phu Quoc Island. Note that during rainy seasons, often from May to October, bad weather and rough seas might coerce the boat companies to cancel their services.
All fast boats have an ability to carry motorbikes, yet there are not so many slots (maximum 15 slots); hence, it is judicious to book in advance. Your passport and license plate number are needed to make a reservation on deck. Also be particularly careful with the baggage handlers who sometimes take unfair advantage to overcharge tourists on board.

By Car Ferry
Car ferry is much bigger and run much more slowlier than a fast boat and there is only one company known as “Thanh Thoi” that provides the service from Ha Tien Port to Phu Quoc. Car ferry is designed to serve both commercial and travel sectors; therefore, it has enough room for manifold types of transportation, for instance, trucks, coaches, cars, motorbikes, etc. Again you still need a passport and license plate number to procure a slot for your vehicle if traveling on two wheels. Tickets are sold at the port piers or at miscellaneous hotels in Ha Tien. So generally there is no need for you to book in advance.

By plane
It is greatly recommended that travelers take flights as this is the quickest and the most convenient way to get to Phu Quoc Island. Such domestic airlines as Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific, and Vietjet Air offer direct flights from Saigon to Phu Quoc at the price of roughly $35; however, you had better check the prices and the deals on their original websites since prices fluctuate from time to time. It takes about 45 minutes to reach the point of arrival which is Phu Quoc International Airport in Duong Dong town, which is 10 minutes away from Long Beach (Bai Dai). Airport pick-up services are managed by a majority of hotels and resorts in Phu Quoc, make sure you keep an eye on their websites or tell the travel agents to keep you informed of the latest updates.
During peak seasons, Tet holiday, for example, tourists should book their tickets as early as possible because tickets can be sold out in the blink of an eye.
There are more ways to get to Phu Quoc than I expected. I’ve always travelled by plane but fast boat sounds fun. Thanks for the details!
