THE BRIDGES
Danang is often referred to as "The City of Bridges" since they offer such spectacular views to be contemplated at whole day.

Address: Hai Chau 1, Danang.
The bridge has a unique architecture in the shape of Dragon reaching out to the sea. If you visit this Dragon Bridge, please make sure to be at the Head side of Bridge at 9:00 pm every Saturday and Sunday to behold 'the Dragon' spraying fire and water. Watch it here:

Hue T-junction overpass is also called Nguyen Ba Thanh overpass by local people. This is the first 3-level overpass in Vietnam situated on National Highway 1A and one of the most unique bridges in Danang. It genuinely looks gorgeous at night when being seen from above.
Built on the idea of the famous bridges of love locks in the world such as Pont des Arts (French), Hohenzollern (Germany) or Milvio (Italy). The bridge, located between the Dragon Bridge and the Han River Bridge, just below Carp Dragon statue, creates a romantic and poetic setting. Standing on the pier, visitors can observe the other side of the City Centre.

SON TRA PENINSULA
Located 10 km far from the city center to the East, Son Tra peninsula is considered as the “Green Lung” of Danang city thanks to the nature preserve keeping an abundance and diversity of flora and fauna.
Just rent a motorbike with a gasoline-filled bottle and bring a water bottle along, you can start your journey now. Here are some stops should not be missed:
The pagoda looks towards the Eastern Sea and goes with Cham Islands on the left and on the right with Hai Van Mountain. Linh Ung pagoda with a mixture of modern and traditional style is one of the biggest pagodas in the city in both scale and architecture. The Pagoda brings tourists unforgettable experiences thanks to not only the natural landscapes but also the architecture and the understanding of the religious values in the modern life.
Especially, there is Guan Yin statue considered as the highest statue in Vietnam with 67 meters height. This statue puts its back to the mountain and overlooks to the ocean. Danang people believe that she protects the coastline and fishermen from natural disasters. From here, visitors can contemplate the whole view of Son Tra peninsula, Cham Island, Marble Mountains and so on. This beautiful landscape creates a unique impression that cannot be found in any other places.

Going on hiking along the winding road to the South, you will have to climb the steep hills to reach the Chessboard Peak, also known as Fairy Chessboard. It takes a little more effort to climb to this place over tens of stairs but fully worth it.
You will enjoy the cool and fresh air. It is so easy to see Son Tra Peninsula appearing with the gold coast, crowded neighborhood and many bridges over the Han River. The most striking thing that has to mention is the statue of old man fairy playing chess. On sunny days, you can look across the city. If the weather is foggy, there will be a lot of clouds around and it feels like being in paradise. Maybe, that is the reason why the old man fairies chose this place to roam, play chess as the story told by the ancients.

I have only just recently learned about Da Nang. Since I’ve had Vietnam on my bucket list for a while, this list is definitely going to be bookmarked. It sounds like there are plenty to see and do!
The bridge is so cool! I have seen a few water and fire shows over the years, but nothing that even comes close to the Dragon Bridge!
Wow, what a gorgeous place! My husband would just love those bridges.
I would love to go to Da Nang someday. These bridges are so beautiful. The Dragon bridge is just stunning.
I am actually obsessed with bridges. I love seeing photos of them and taking photos. This would be fun as this is the City of Bridges!
The Dragon Bridge definitely catches the eye. Vietnam is very colorful at night. Da Nang is on my list to go to.
What a beautiful city! I love the lighting on the Tran Thi Ly Bridge! If I ever get the chance I would love to visit Da Nang!
What a beautiful place to visit. I would love to visit Da Nang.
Wow! I love all of the bridges and beaches – so many beautiful things to see. Especially the Dragon Bridge, how cool!
Da Nang looks like a charming place with so much to see and do. I like the look of the bridges. They all seem so resplendent in the night, a stunning sight indeed. Not to forget the beaches. All the makings of some great times.
We totally agree that Danang is an awesome destination in Vietnam. We think it’s the most under-rated and under-visited place in Vietnam for Western tourists. It has so much to enjoy.
